I think you have done a fabulous job on this piece. Not all works must be full fledged portraits, with color and backgrounds to qualify as great Art. I feel the study of Cat has a wonderful focal point, yet it is not distracting from the rest of the image. Good use of positive and negative space. Your strokes are soft and delicate which suit the subject beautifully. I feel a light smearing of the strokes of the fur over the eye would have continued the touchable softness found in the rest of the image without losing the contrast or details. Also a very faded suggestion of the other eye/fur would have suited the piece better then the suggestion of a line to frame it in. Overall, it is my favorite piece from your gallery (partly due to my preference for pencil), these are merely my suggestions and you should be very proud of it.
