I have to say I'm a bit stingy on these sorts of things, but this absolutely blew me away. I was sure this was a photo until I took a closer look. This was very beautifully drawn. The strokes for the fur were perfectly executed; starting where they needed to and flowing as they should have. I absolutely love the detail on the front paws, the shoulders, and the eye. The front paws looked a little small to me at first. As I looked over other images and checked the perspective, I found myself mistaken and you absolutely correct. Well done. The detail on the fur right above the toes is captivating for some reason. It took me a moment before I could look from those and evaluate the rest of the piece. The fur between the shoulders was beautifully coloured and the brush strokes blend so well that it's hard to tell those are brush strokes at all. Finally, the eye. Actually, that whole "cross" (forehead, eyes, nose, and mouth). The fur strokes are beautiful and the muzzle is perfect. Personally, that is the best part of this piece. The somewhat sad-and-lonely feeling is portrayed perfectly in the sole visible eye, and I believe that is the absolute center of the entire piece. The face in general is the center, but that most important part lies right in that eye. The shines on the nose add a perfect sense of the soft-leather feeling of a dog's or wolf's nose. The mouth on the muzzle folds perfectly over, almost making it seem to frown slightly. Again, this piece is strikingly beautfiul. Fur, I would say, is definitely your forte.
wow that is sooooooo beautiful i am speechless... I really think that ist looks a lot like the stock photo but then agian all of your work looks so realistic! the fur is very nicely done, fur is a very difficult thing to master but i think you have mastered it. It all goes in the correct direction and looks gorgeous. the wolf just looks so serene. I'm not sure if you were going for n unfocused look on the back leg or not but it looks like that. I really enjoyed looking at this and i hoe you do more soon because it is gorgeous! Much respect... MangaAnime2012
